Theresa H. Kramer, PT, RYT

After graduation from St. Louis University in 1987, Theresa received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. In addition, she has spent extensive hours in training, developing her Manual Therapy, Aquatic and Orthopedic skills.
Her over twenty years of work experience has been comprehensive, involving all areas of adult patient care. She developed the Aquatics and Lumbar Stabilization Program at a Hospital 's Industrial Rehabilitation Program, helped numerous back injury clients return to work, and provided Back School instruction to local industries. Theresa performed Physical Therapy Consultations and taught Yoga to heart patients at a hospital based Outpatient Cardiac Rehab Program. She traveled to San Francisco, California as an Exercise Specialist with heart participants in the Dean Ornish Heart Disease Reversal Program's quarterly retreats. Theresa traveled to Santa Barbara, California to complete a 200 hour Certification Program with Integrative Yoga Therapy (a Yoga alliance approved program), and now teaches Yoga privately and to small groups.
She incorporates her Manual Therapy and Exercise Skills into Aquatic Rehabilitation, performed off site at a heated indoor pool. She has completed Pilates Mat and Reformer training through PHI (the
Powerhouse Institute), an educational member of PMA (Pilates Method Alliance).
She is the owner and President of PT By the Sea which is now located in a 4000 square foot facility. She has been trained in Chi Running! |

Patty Rode, PT, DPT |

Patty graduated with her BS in Physical Therapy in 1979 Magna Cum Laude from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, NY and completed her t-DPT in December 2008 from the University of Des Moines, Iowa. She has been a Physical Therapist for over 30 years, working in the Wilmington area for the past 20 plus years. She has experience inOutpatient Orthopedic, Manual Therapy, Industrial Therapy and Aquatics. She has several years of experience in performing FCE's and managing injured workers in work conditioning and work hardening programs. In addition, she has onsite work experience in job coaching and performing job demands analysis. Patty is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association serving in various positions.Patty currently serves as a Brand Champion for APTA’s “Move Forward” Campaign spreading the word about the benefits of physical therapy. She also belongs to the Occupational Health Special Interest and has presented at The National Workers Compensation Conference and The Annual Case Managers Conference, as well as many local and national employers across the US on Managing Injured Workers and Functional Capacity Testing. She is certified in ErgoScience Physical Work Performance Evaluations and Quantified Job Demands Analysis, and serves as an ErgoScience consultant and trainer.

Jennifer Blay Devers, PT,ATC |

Jennifer graduated James Madison University with her B.S., and received her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia. As as ATC, she worked with division one college and professional athletes. She practiced in Newport Beach, CA for seven years, five of which she served as Clinic Director.She has specialized training in foot, knee, and shoulder injuries, infant torticollis treatment, and is a certified Pilates instructor. She has been with PT By the Sea since 2009 and lives in Wilmington with her husband and two children.

Amy Coleman |
Amy Coleman graduated from NC School of the Arts and pursued a successful career in dance theater, which led her to NY, LA , and Germany. She returned home to eastern NC in 2003 to be close to her family.
Amy's love of movement inspired her to study Pilates in which she holds certifications with Polestar Pilates Education, Coastal Carolina Pilates, and as of 2007 is presently a Pilates Method Alliance Certified Instructor .
She enjoys teaching ballet and Pilates to students from ages eight to eighty!

Martha Gregory |

Martha Gregory was born in Washington, D.C. and from the age of 2, grew up in North Carolina. She was the youngest dancer ever accepted into the N.C. State Ballet Company and performed solo and semi-solo parts with the company. The N.C. Ballet was the first dance company in the United States to be supported by the state. Mrs. Gregory has a degree in fashion merchandising and interior design from Atlanta and a degree in chemical technology. She has been practicing Tai Chi and Qigong for over 30 years and teaching in the Wilmington, N.C. area for over 20 years.
She is married with 2 children and one grandchild. Mrs. Gregory has taught and is teaching all over Wilmington/New Hanover County area. She has taught at the YMCA, YWCA, New Hanover County Hospital, Parks and Recreation Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach, UNCW, and the surrounding areas of Wilmington.
